Your assessment and browser storage
Move details, inventory, packing and access answers, report snapshots and some contact-form handoffs are saved in browser session storage or memory so you can continue your assessment. A random visitor identifier can be saved in local browser storage to associate your room assessments. Browser storage lifetime depends on your browser; it does not have a universal 30-day expiry. Starting a new assessment clears the assessment draft, not all server records or submitted requests.
Optional photos and service processing
Photos are optional. When you upload them, Knowve processes and stores assessment images privately and uses image services to remove embedded metadata and prepare them for analysis. Sanitized images and relevant assessment facts may be processed by AI services through Knowve’s AI gateway, including OpenAI, to suggest inventory or planning guidance. Hosting, private storage, image processing, routing and email services also process the information necessary to provide the tool. AI suggestions can be wrong: review what is moving and correct your inventory. Metadata removal does not remove personal information visibly present in a photo; avoid uploading sensitive documents or people.
ZIP codes and route information
Origin and destination postal codes are processed to resolve approximate locations, route distance and mapping. Depending on configuration, this uses reference data and mapping or routing services, including Google and OpenRouteService. State-route guides do not invent an address or ZIP code for you.
Requesting a mover quote
Assessment use alone does not send your contact details or Move Report to a moving company. Only when you explicitly request contact and accept the existing sharing consent will your contact details, full Move Report and submitted assessment photos be shared with ONE moving company to prepare your quote. Knowve does not share them with additional moving companies or use them for unrelated marketing. The representative may contact you using the details you provide about the requested moving services.
Private access and retention
Quote-request copies of your report and photos have an access expiry of up to 30 days and are subject to the quote-copy deletion process. You may request earlier deletion at david@knowve.com. This is not a claim that all assessment photos, browser drafts, AI-provider records, operational records or backups expire after 30 days. Source assessment records and photos have separate lifetimes; no universal automatic deletion period is enforced for them. Deletion of browser drafts does not delete a submitted quote copy. Email or downloaded copies cannot be recalled by removing a private report link; requests concerning those copies require follow-up.
Operational information and your choices
Knowve records limited assessment-stage events and operational information to maintain and improve the service, and uses cookies for private-beta access when enabled. Submission protections may use hashed contact and network identifiers to prevent duplicate requests and abuse. Do not upload information you do not have permission to share. You may use the basic planning tool without providing name, email or phone, skip photos, correct answers, or choose not to request mover contact.
